If you checked out our article “10 S4 features you don’t know about“, you know that the newest Samsung smartphone will be the first to support the new version of MHL, v2.0.
For the last few Galaxy S generations now, Samsung has been offering an accessory dedicated to displaying media (photos, videos, …) from your smartphone straight onto your HD television: the MHL/HDMI adapter. Thanks to the MHL 2.0 standard, the adapter does not require a power adaptor like the previous iteration did.
The new accessory is already available in the UK for the price of £32,99, which comes up to just over 50 bucks.
You can also observe the presence of a micro USB port on the side of the peripheral, which we think is used to plug in the accessory to a power adaptor to make it compatible with older Galaxy phones, but this question has not been addressed by Samsung yet.
